Dr. Diana Trister is Double Board Certified in Osteopathic Family Medicine and Osteopathic Sports Medicine. Dr Diana practices medicine from a functional standpoint; she is passionate about wellness, longevity, and prevention.

She does not dismiss patients who have done their own research; she collaborates and answers their questions from her standpoint. With the dual board certification, and her passion for lifelong learning, Dr. Diana offers many services to her patients in addition to primary care:
-Regenerative Injection Therapy- Prolotherapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
-Functional Medicine- hormone optimization, microbiome optimization, metabolic optimization
-IV Vitamin Therapy
-Osteopathic Manipulation (OMT)
These modalities, in addition to great primary care, will help maintain your longevity for years to come. The time you put into your health will pay off today and many years from now.
*You do not need to be a direct primary care (DPC) member to get the additional services offered at TriStar Health Center, members do get a significant discount.
Direct Primary Care (DPC) allows for same or next day access to your physician, when you want it, via text, call, or email. DPC works as a subscription based model; you pay for primary care services for a flat monthly fee. If you have health insurance you can still use your insurance for things like blood work, imaging, and specialists if the need arises. If you don’t have health insurance our practice can help you get services such as blood work for a reasonable rate that is accessible to most.
Finding a primary care provider (PCP) shouldn't be a struggle, yet many face long wait times just to secure an appointment. Even after establishing care, urgent issues are not addressed in a timely manner; and patients are forced to go to emergency rooms and urgent care. This is unacceptable, and we are committed to transforming healthcare access to ensure timely support for everyone. Your health deserves immediate attention, and we're here to make that happen.

Just a few of our wonderful reviews!
Doctor Diana Trister has genuinely been one of the best doctors I have gotten to be a patient of. I've been a patient of hers for over 3 years now. Here's why I recommend her to other people: she is an excellent communicator and acknowledges that her patients often have insight into their own illness. Visits with her are actual discussions when it comes to considering treatments, rather than instances of being given a treatment plan that the doctor has decided purely on their own. She works to identify the root causes of her patients health issues, and does so from a per as perspective that considers all the different systems of the body (unlike most specialists I've encountered, who only concern themselves with addressing their patients' symptoms in their specialty; the GI doc only cares about your GI tract, the ENT doesn't want to hear about the issues affecting your feet)
She's one in a hundred, and has helped me the most by far, out of the 100+ doctors I've seen over the last 16 years.

I've suffered from chronic migraines and chronic neck pain FOREVER. My family based our weekend plans on my migraine status and unfortunately I missed many weekends of family time "dealing" with migraines. Chronic migraines have also impacted my work life as I have historically been forced to call out a few times a month to manage my severe migraines. I actually felt as though my employment may be compromised which only added to the severity of my migraines. I didn't realize that my neck was the source of my chronic migraines and that I could resolve my debilitating condition by strengthening my weak ligaments. I highly encourage anyone suffering from chronic migraines or frequent headaches to see Dr Diana, she is a miracle worker and has my migraines limited to the occasional minor headache. No more weekends in bed, no more calling out of work, my quality of life is so much better after receiving Prolotherapy with Dr. Diana.

I finally found hope after struggling with chronic back pain for years! Dr. Diana's detailed explanation of prolotherapy opened my eyes to a relief option I never thought possible. I’m incredibly thankful for her expertise and absolutely thrilled to continue pain-free activities! You don’t have to accept chronic pain as your fate.
-Susan, owner of residential cleaning company
Prolotherapy has been a game-changer for me, especially after the physical toll of my six-year professional athletic career. Years after I retired, I struggled with a "heavy head sensation" feeling off-balance, and a stiff neck which increased my irritability. However, after consulting with Dr. Diana and undergoing Prolotherapy treatments, I’m thrilled to say that my symptoms have nearly vanished. This non-surgical, non-pharmaceutical approach has transformed my quality of life, and I hope others facing chronic neck pain discover this effective option as well.
-Nick, former pro athlete
Dr Diana Trister is great. I’ve been a patient for years and have never even considered changing doctors. Never an issue getting an appointment. Diana actually cares about her patients. Most doctors rush you in and out. Diana actually cares and takes time with her patients to understand their needs. She takes an educational approach and I always know what she is recommending and more importantly understand the reasoning behind it.

We LOVE Dr. Diana and Michael!!! For one you get as much time as you need with her and she listens to you and gets to the root problem and doesn't just bandaid symptoms. She's not only a PCP but she's sports medicine as well that has fixed my soon too be college basketball player daughter's ankle and back injuries that orthopedics and pt couldn't figure out or fix. Which builds confidence and mental strength in my daughter that she can heal and keep playing and has Dr.Diana if anything happens. I'm feeling a relief with my daughter going off to college now and not to far from Dr Diana and with teleheath available that she's in great hands. Another HUGE bonus is Dr.Diana is an osteopath and boy is she gooood. My pain, headaches emotions always feel better after my visits for days and weeks after. I actually haven't had dizzy spells from POTS since my last visit. I'm very complicated patient that most dr.s gaslight and want no part of but Dr.Diana doesn't give up on me and which in turn I don't on myself. I LOVE she offers iv infusions bc I get dehydrated very easily And like to boost immune system before travel or when neccassary. Dr.Diana is the whole package and then some. There is no price on health and for a little bit a month that you're gonna get charged anyways from insurance bc regular PCP charge so much nowadays is TOTALLY worth it. And think about how much we're saving from pt, orthopedics appt's that have been very costly in the past. If you want to get to the root health problems your having see Dr. Diana. Thank you for all you do for me and my family. ❤️

Could not be happier with the kindness and expertise of Dr. Trister and her staff. Spends as much time as needed - unusual for a PCP - and the fact that she is also board certified in Sports Medicine is a big plus. Great new offices as well. Highly recommend her after 12 years as my PCP! Thanks, Diana, for the wonderful and caring treatment over the years. You're the best!

My 5 stars is for Dr. Trister and the office staff, who I love. I am a nurse, and I'm less than a year away from completing my DNP. The office experience that this team provides and the alternative therapies that Dr. Trister offers are what healthcare should be. The level of care, attention to detail, and knowledge that Dr. Trister has is honestly the future of medicine. It is preventative rather than symptom management and is the way that every patient should approach their health. Dr. Trister caught a potential genetic mutation that honestly explains all of my health issues dating back 23 years, but this is the first time anyone has even thought of it. I recognize that paying out of pocket for some healthcare costs may be daunting. Still, as a nurse who works in the hospital setting and has dealt with chronic health issues most of my life, I'd much rather invest in someone who understands inflammation than seek care from a provider who accepts health insurance and pushes pills. You will never be able to get back your quality of life, or your health longevity.

Prolotherapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Prolotherapy is an example of how a physician can facilitate your body's natural healing process. Prolotherapy is an injection technique that is used to treat chronic musculoskeletal injuries. In contrast to conventional cortisone injections, which do provide pain relief, Prolotherapy aims to stimulate your body to rebuild and restore the damaged area. Many conditions including Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Connective Tissue Disorder (CTD), chronic and/or recurrent sprains, overuse injuries, whiplash injuries, mid back pain, low back pain, and tendinitis respond well to this treatment.
Prolotherapy provides long-term, often permanent pain relief by stimulating the body’s ability to repair itself. A solution of concentrated dextrose and local anesthetic is injected into the affected ligaments, tendons, and/or joint capsules. This solution acts as a local irritant thereby stimulating the body’s natural ability to repair the affected areas. Prolotherapy is a process and
multiple treatments (usually 3-5 sessions) are standard to restore and strengthen the area. We always keep in mind nutritional and lifestyle status while patients undergo this treatment.
Neural Prolotherapy (NPT) and traditional Prolotherapy share some similarities but have key differences in their approach and application:
-
Solution concentration:
-
Neural Prolotherapy uses a much lower concentration of dextrose, typically 5% dextrose in sterile water (D5W).
-
Traditional Prolotherapy uses a higher concentration of dextrose, usually 15-25%.
-
-
Injection technique:
-
NPT involves multiple shallow injections just beneath the skin along the course of subcutaneous nerves.
-
Traditional Prolotherapy uses deeper injections into ligaments, tendons, and joint spaces.
-
-
Target areas:
-
NPT focuses on treating subcutaneous nerves associated with connective tissues.
-
Traditional Prolotherapy targets ligaments, tendons, and joints directly.
-
-
Mechanism of action:
-
NPT is thought to work by modifying nerve signals and nourishing nerves to reduce neurogenic inflammation and pain.
-
Traditional Prolotherapy aims to stimulate tissue repair and regeneration in ligaments and tendons.
-
-
Pain during treatment:
-
NPT is generally well-tolerated and can often be performed without local anesthetic.
-
Traditional Prolotherapy may be more painful and often requires local anesthetic.
-
-
Treatment frequency:
-
NPT typically requires 5-8 treatments spaced 1-2 weeks apart.
-
Traditional Prolotherapy often involves 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
-
-
Immediate effects:
-
NPT often provides immediate pain relief after the first injection.
-
Traditional Prolotherapy may cause initial soreness before improvement is noticed.
Both treatments aim to promote healing and reduce pain, but NPT is considered less invasive and focuses more on nerve-related pain and inflammation. The choice between the two may depend on the specific condition being treated and the practitioner's expertise.

PRP PLATELET RICH PLASMA THERAPY
Autologous blood injection is a regulatory healing therapy that aims to re-harmonize the body’s inner milieu. Blood carries nutrients, oxygen, enzymes, body exudates, waste products, toxins, and antibodies, and also carries information about every disease the body has experienced.
By injecting autologous blood , we give healing stimulate to the body that makes the body begin to mobilize its immune system cells. It handles the injected blood as an "intruding stimulus” and as a result, intensive stimulation of the body’s immune system is begun and the body’s self-healing capability is activated.
Autologous blood injection increasing the body’s general defensive ability and activating its self-healing capability.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a medical treatment being used for a wide range of musculoskeletal problems. Platelet rich plasma refers to a sample of blood plasma that has as much as eight times more than the normal amount of platelets. This treatment enhances the body’s natural ability to repair itself and is used to improve healing and shorten recovery time from acute and chronic soft tissue and joint injuries.
Many famous athletes — PGA’s Tiger Woods, NBA’s Steph Curry, MLB’s Alex Rodriguez, tennis star Rafael Nadal, and several others — have received PRP for various problems, such as sprained knees and chronic tendon injuries. This treatment technique is relatively new in the field of sports medicine, but has been gaining popularity quickly.
